About a month ago, Benji informed me that he needed to try sushi. He was already certain that he loved it regardless of never trying it before. I am all for him trying new foods out. The thought of him breaking away from his usual cheeseburger, no pickles or onions meal was refreshing. So we went on an impromptu Mom and Benji date.
Turns out this kid knew what he was talking about. He loved it! He even got Darrin to try it out. Our family eats sushi almost weekly now. Yay!
My older son Daniel was on board with the sushi thing already. He and his girlfriend are big sushi lovers.
So now that brings me to a couple of fun projects I created this week. I pulled out my darling FSJ Sushi Puns stamps and dies. I must confess I have slacked off in the scrapbooking department. I am setting a goal to do at least one layout a month. This fun set was just what I needed to get it together. I love pocket pages! These make scrapbooking a snap. I just might even get caught up!
This birthday card was so fun to create. I kept it fairly simple with just a few little details. I love to use Colorburst pencils. They are the best! I finished it off with a little Black Licorice silk and some Journey Glaze. I think we may have to hit the sushi again this weekend! What are your weekend plans?
